The History
This Berber carpet is a very old and unique piece from the Middle Atlas Mountains and displays a host of complex Berber designs.
Approximately 20-30 years old, this carpet would have originally been made by a Berber woman for personal use in her own home. In the past, Berber women made such carpets for themselves and also as gifts for special occasions, including weddings.
The Artisan
This vintage rug was made by a woman of a Berber tribe in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
She created this Moroccan carpet with wool and small portions of cotton thread, and permitted herself personal freedom in expressing her own creativity and values through North African symbology and colors as she wove these designs.
The Look
This Moroccan rug features a range of Berber symbols in a variety of rusts, tans, oranges and browns. This one of a kind rug would be perfect under a dining table, or in a living room.

With a low pile, but soft to the touch, this vintage carpet is perfect for high-traffic areas, like the living room or a lounge, where it brightens and warms up the atmosphere.
